Geography

GCSE Geography gives students the opportunity to travel the world via the classroom, learning about both natural and social sciences along the way. They will understand how geography impacts everyday life and discover the key opportunities and challenges facing the world. There is a balanced framework of physical and human geography.  It allows students to investigate the link between the two themes, and approach and examine the battles between the man-made world and natural world.  Students will also develop academic and life skills from writing, teamwork and communication to analytical skills.  Assessment is comprised of 3 written papers.  2 papers are 1 hour 30 minutes and are based on geographical content.  The third paper is 1 hour 15 minutes and students will be required to analyse fieldwork resources.
